Common questions

Do you service systems that weren’t installed by Valley Solar?

Yes. About a quarter of our service calls are for systems originally installed by other companies — including installers that have gone out of business or stopped servicing equipment they sold. Just tell us the brand of inverter and panels and we’ll let you know if we can help.

How quickly can you come out?

Most homeowners get scheduled within two weeks. Urgent issues (no production, battery failure during an outage) are prioritized when we can.

What does a service call cost?

We’ll always quote diagnostics and any recommended repairs in writing before any work happens. No surprises.

Can you remove and reinstall my panels for a new roof?

Yes — that’s a routine job for us. We coordinate with your roofer, safely remove and store the system, and reinstall and recommission it once the roof is done. More about remove & reinstall.

What is SunAlert?

SunAlert is our in-house performance monitoring service. It watches your system continuously, flags drops in production, and routes issues straight to our service team — so problems get caught early instead of months later.

Need help with your solar or battery system?

Tell us what’s happening — what you’re seeing, what the app says, what changed. Our team will review and recommend the right next step.
